November Activities: Chrismas Tree Show, music by Sequoia, & reading of Women of the Bear

Sequoia plays Nov. 12th from 5:30 to 7:00 at CSAC Gallery

—November is an exciting time at Central Sierra Arts Council. Nov. 12 marks the opening of a showing of the top 14 pieces of art submitted in the Capitol Christmas Tree Show, with the winning 15th piece going on to the Capitol along with the tree. The winning piece was from California! Marc Davis of Dublin submitted “Granite Ablaze.”

This coming Saturday is downtown Sonora’s 2nd Saturday ART NIGHT! The popular duo “Sequoia” aka Norm and Pam Ivie (she on hammered duclimer and he on string guitar).  Come join us and the many downtown participants for live music, wonderful visual art and good people enjoying a night out in our little town. Nov. 18 at 7 p.m. the Council is hosting an encore showing of Women of the Bear by Duende: Drama & Literature, Inc.  Women of the Bear is a dramatic reading written by nationally recognized playwright Rick Foster.
