Views of Friendship..

Central Sierra Arts Council is pleased to be a part of an important partnership with ATCAA’s MentoringWorks and the City of Sonora, as we celebrate the creative spirit of our own community, exchanging our children’s art work with Sonora’s Sister City, Kirishima, Japan.

We hope that all of you will visit this weekend’s two-day art show at Sonora’s Opera Hall.

Along with ATCAA’s MentoringWorks director Elena Linehan and many City of Sonora employees, we would also like to extend thanks to CSAC’s Art Education Coordinator, Louise McPeeters, and to our participating local artists: Dianne Stearns, Kimberly Francis, Irene Taylor and Peter Nordstrom.  These artists generously gave their time and talent to 47 children ages 4 to 17 from schools and home school families from throughout the county. Additional thanks goes out to Front Porch, Inc. and YES! Partnership for their generous donations and to Main Street Shop & Photo Gallery for their very helpful in-kind donation.
