Participation Process

Teachers

To arrange class sessions, assemblies & residencies: Read through your current ARTS Reach to Schools catalog to become familiar with program offerings. Please try to schedule as far in advance as possible. If you would like assistance with your selections or if you have questions, please call the CSAC office at (209) 532-ARTS/2787

1. Coordinate the scheduling with the ARTS Reach lead or administrator at your school once you have made a selection.
2. Contact the artist directly by phone or email to confirm availability, dates and time. At that time, the artist will confirm materials needed, class size and logistics. The artist will also want to learn your focus and expectations, in order to meet your curriculum needs. Let him/her know if there is anything out-of-the-ordinary that he/she should be aware of as well.
3. Complete Part I of the Artist/Teacher Contract & Program Evaluation form and send a copy through the mail to ARTS Reach/ CSAC, 48 S. Washington St., Sonora, CA 95370, or fax it to 532-2793, Keep the original.
4. When the program is completed, fill out Part II of the Artist/Teacher Contract & Program Evaluation form. Sign, date, and copy, the form. Return the copy to CSAC by mail or fax for artist payment. Keep the original for your records, make a copy and give it to the artist. Please submit this within 48 hours after the program.  Your evaluations are critical to our planning and development for future years of the ARTS Reach to Schools Program.

Artists

1. Note for yourself the time and date of your event. Let teachers know of any special needs that you have for your event.
2. As soon as CSAC recieves a copy of the Artist/Teacher Contract, we will send a copy to you via regular mail. Let CSAC know of any date of fee changes.
3. Confirm your event by telephone or email with the teacher before the date of the event.
4. Get a signed copy of the Artist/Teacher Contract from the teacher, and remind him/her to send the completed form to CSAC by fax or mail. Keep the copy for your records.
